Resources

Computer Forensis Consulting

The “Resources” pages are a collection of links to interesting Web sites related to computer forensis. This list is often changed and updated, but it is not (and never will be) complete. It includes selection of what we found useful in our work and research.

Many topics (for example “Hardware”) could easily contain hundreds of sub-categories and thousands of links. It is not our intention to attempt a classification of the whole field of computing and computer forensis. We present here:

  • links to some original resources (for example to Seagate, a major storage device manufacturer),
  • links to various Web sites which publish relevant industry news, reviews and links to other resources (for example TrustedReviews storage page).

Depending on which “Resources” page you visit you may find more direct links or more links to other collections of resources.

Computers represent the fastest growing technology ever developed by humanity. It would be a huge task to attempt to classify all resources pertaining to the field of computing and digital forensis. Such a classification should include links to resources dealing with a very wide range of topics including computer hardware and software, legal resources, sites dealing with security, etc. The “Interesting Links” page provides a practical solution to this dilemma: there we included links to the best Web sites we found which in turn contain comprehensive lists of links to other places. No list can ever hope to be complete, and by directing you to other pages we hopefully help you with locating useful information.

Please remember that various Internet search engines (for example Google) can help to locate interesting materials, however the search engines index only a limited number of Web pages and due to their peculiarities they often provide less than perfect results. If you are interested why that it so, just use any search engine and type the search argument “how internet search engines work”.
