Throughout his professional life he has been involved in a wide range of hardware and operating systems areas working in the computing industry in IBM Australia and operating his own companies. In the last eight years he worked as a researcher and academic and also provided court expert witness services. In 2009 he submitted his PhD thesis “On the Genesis of Computer Forensis” at the University of Western Sydney. Ewa Huebner (MEEE ’72 UTechWarsaw, PhD ’99 USyd, FACS ‘08) has over 30 years experience working both in industry and academia. Throughout her professional life she has always been involved with operating systems, first as a systems programmer and administrator, and then as a researcher. Her current research in digital forensics focuses on instrumentation of operating systems for forensic investigation, including memory forensics, live systems analysis, systems logs maintenance and security, as well as timestamp management in file systems. This will lead to the creation of prototype systems, which will demonstrate benefits of the new features for both forensis and system security.
